Memories
My Dear Brother,
I just watched NBC Dateline. It was about some "unsung hero's". Some of the footage was of Veitnam. I can truely say from the bottom of my heart, that although you had explained it to us over the years, I had NO idea of what you REALLY went through. Wolf too!!! God Bless you Bill and I know that you are now again with all your "commrades". Thank you for all you did for your country and family. We will NEVER forget your courage and unselfishness. We will love you always "Eagle"
Rest in peace forever!!!!
I worked with Bill down the cape in two different places, Cascade hotel and Heritage Inn, desk clerk and maintenance at the hotel; and he cooked and I waitressed at Heritage Inn, one time the Greatful Dead (couple of the members had stayed, he was so excited and at the same time blown away I didn't even care). Do you see how many tables I have I told him: after I waited on them, they left a small tip and my thought was I am not familar with your music any how. Bill was so smart and such an excellent writer, I remember in the first grade when the teacher asked me what I was going to be, I said a writer like my brother Bill. He was the best cook too, his stuffing was outrageous. Miss your words, miss your food and miss your love Bill...
I remember when my boys were like 8 and 10 and we used to go to the Cape alot on my weekends off. One time Bill wanted to take me on a "joy ride" on the sand dunes in Truro in his new jeep. It was one of the scariest rides I ever took and Bill was laughing histerically. We just about tipped the thing over and he laughed and told the story for years because as wild as it was, I never spilled one drop of my drink. It was one of my funniest memories of Bill. Miss you bro!!!!
Love, Carol AKA (Maude), his nickname for me. God Bless You

I think it was ?1978, I lived in Fall River and Bill was going to Johnson & Wales culinary school. He loved my girls ( Chrissy & Sandy) and would sometimes stop by on his way to the Cape. Bring Dunkin Donuts for the girls. And I would help him study for his exams, quiz him on culinary terms like "sp? bouquet of garni", which I think is spices and herbs in a linen cloth bag? But is seemed to the answer to allot of the questions I asked him, well we would get foolish and say " You guessed it" the anwer is "bouquet of garni" and laught like crazy...He was a awesome person...love you Bill..cousin Donna !!!
