Memory builds a little pathway that goes winding through my heart. It's a lovely, quiet, gentle trail from other things apart. I only meet when traveling there the folks I love the best, The this road I call remembrance is hidden from the rest.
Helen Steiner Rice
the poem in the memory box before this one was taken from a link on the Bill's memorial site...
My only fear of dying is that I leave you all behind
You may not see
my loving arms
encircle you
or tuck you into bed
but darling, I'll make sure you feel my kiss
placed lovingly on your head
I know there'll be grief and sadness, unending thoughts of why
But dont think of me as gone my loves
because all I did was die
I'm here whenever you need me, standing right by your side
You'll see me in our dreams
Words you read upon a page
If you keep your mind wide open
You will definitely be amazed
at how often I am with you and how I let you know
If the jugs turns on, it's only me getting my morning fix
Keep an eye on all those pictures you take...
you might see me in the mix!
Be aware of all the smells I love
I'll send them just for you
and I'll bring on all the butterflies
whenever you're feeling blue
Don't forget that song I gave you
I'll send it from my heart
& remember hon, we'll meet again
this life is only the start!
